Market research expert Yosuke Miyazaki joins Edelman Japan as director of strategy

Yosuke Miyazaki Photo.jpgEdelman Japan has hired Yosuke Miyazaki as director of strategy, effective immediately. Miyazaki has 18 years of solid market research and strategic planning experience. In his new role, Miyazaki will be responsible for brand strategy development and new business development for Edelman Japan’s broad range of clients.

During a career spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US, Miyazaki has developed a strong track record in brand strategy development for a wide variety of firms domestically and internationally. His primary sector experience includes automotive, alcohol and food and beverages. Miyazaki’s expertise includes corporate movie production, consumer marketing, digital engagement and multivariate data analysis.

Prior to joining Edelman, Miyazaki worked in brand strategy development, project management and new business development at Landor Associates. His clients included UD Trucks, Trend Micro and P&G, among others.

Before joining Landor, Miyazaki built more than 15 years of market research and strategic planning experience at Synovate (currently part of Ipsos) as associate director, and at TEQUILA / E-Graphics Communications (a member of TBWA Worldwide) as senior strategic planner. His major clients prior to joining Landor included Nissan, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Syngenta, JT, IKEA, Trend Micro, Nisshin Foods, Aeon, Etihad Airways, Ciba Vision and MHD. Miyazaki has a B.A. in law from Keio University, Tokyo.
