Ogilvy Indonesia beef up management lineup with Gordon Ford, Florian Jungbauer & Rene de Paus

GordonFord.jpgOgilvy & Mather ASEAN has made three key appointments in Indonesia - Gordon Ford (left) to head up OgilvyAction, Florian Jungbauer to lead Redworks and Rene de Paus to the role of Business and Strategy Director for The Brand Union.

The appointments follow the recent hiring of Gustavo Asman as the new ECD and Katryna Mojica to head the Ogilvy Indonesia office. Asman joins from Wing New York where he previously held the CCO title for the past six years. Mojica was CEO of Ogilvy Vietnam.

"Our new Indonesia plan is gathering momentum," says David Mayo, President, Ogilvy & Mather ASEAN. "Katryna and Gustavo, our newly appointed country and creative leads, will be joined by Gordon, Florian and Rene, three professionals at the pinnacle of their game. Focusing on creative work that works, they will drive Ogilvy forward on our new 5 Year Plan which includes development of our offices, our people, our product and of course our clients and their businesses."

Ford is no stranger to Indonesia as he joins Ogilvy from Leo Burnett. With 17 years working across Asia, Ford brings branding, retail and activation experience to the team based in Jakarta.

"The growth potential for brand activation in Indonesia is extensive as the growing urban population is exposed to international tastes and trends. We are delighted to have Gordon at the helm to lead OgilvyAction in this dynamic growth market," said John Goodman, President OgilvyAction Asia Pacific.

Florian.jpgRene.jpgAustrian-born Jungbauer (left) moves to Indonesia from Hong Kong where he was Managing Director of a leading marketing specialist agency. With a strong background in marketing, production and business development he is ready to grow the Redworks offering in Indonesia.

Indonesian-born Rene de Paus (bottom left) brings 14 years experience in branding and marketing services to The Brand Union. He has worked across a wide range of prominent international and local brands including the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Total E&P, The Body Shop and Vespa.

"At The Brand Union, we are creating a new model for strategic branding and design in the region which combines the breadth and capability of a global network with the very best of local talent and insight," said Graham Hitchmough, Regional Director, ASEAN, The Brand Union. "Leveraging our partnership with Ogilvy in the region, we are committed to being part of Indonesia's future growth and establishment on the world stage."

Ford and Jungbauer start in February 2012 and will report into Katryna Mojica. De Paus will also start in February 2012 and will report to Graham Hitchmough.
