The long awaited judging of the 2010 AdFest Lotus Awards is happening this week and is taking place in Tokyo. Winners will be announced on Monday 26th July. 2,708 entries were entered into the competition and were originally meant to be judged from 18-20th of March at the Thailand based AdFest Festival. However this was postponed due to political circumstances in Thailand. The decision to relocate this year’s Jury panel to Tokyo was first announced in May 2010. AdFest was subsequently cancelled and only the work will be judged with the results released via the AdFest website.

Jimmy Lam, President of AdFest, says: “Despite postponing this year’s Jury session, which was originally scheduled to take place in March, and later in May, the organizers of AdFest are proud to be the first advertising festival in the Asia Pacific to unveil its winners this year. AdFest is the original advertising festival in the Asia Pacific, Made in Asia, for Asian advertising executives. We believe that creativity in Asia deserves to shine on a global stage, and our Jury members are all very excited about discovering this year’s top creative players later this week.”
