The newly created role will be responsible for driving operational excellence among its agencies in China – namely the full-service media agencies, OMD and PHD, as well as the Group’s data & analytics division, Annalect.

Kwek (pictured) joins Omnicom Media Group from WPP, where she spent 18 years garnering invaluable industry experience in APAC and comprehensive knowledge of the China market in particular. She has previously held the COO title at GroupM in Shanghai and tenthavenue in Singapore, and was most recently the President, China Trading & Investment for tenthavenue in Shanghai. In her new role at Omnicom Media Group, Kwek will work closely with the CEOs of the Group’s agencies and business units to continuously enhance efficiencies and fuel future growth through the Group’s ‘Client-First, Brand-Led, Group-Powered’ approach.

Tony Harradine, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific, commented, “As our agencies continue to scale new heights in China, we have strengthened our Group leadership in order to ensure they are backed by operational excellence and solid commercial direction in the face of fresh growth. Claudine’s track record in reorganising agencies and generating operational efficiencies, coupled with her extensive knowledge of the communications industry in China, make her the ideal candidate to augment our agencies’ leadership and we are excited to have her onboard. I am highly confident that under her guidance, our agencies will continue to achieve even greater results for our clients and people.”

Kwek added, “I am excited to be joining Omnicom Media Group at a time when its agencies are at the top of their game, making the challenge for me to uncover areas of growth and improve processes ever the more interesting. Both OMD and PHD are renowned in the China marketplace for their unique value propositions and solid product offerings, which has attracted some of the most prominent brands to their client rosters. Additionally, both have been recognised by the industry as the very best in their fields. I am looking forward to working closely with the agency heads on enhancing their operational and revenue models and boosting synergies across the business, and am excited to be a part of the Group’s continued success story in China.”
