2018 Clio Awards: 16 Gold statues awarded to Asia, lead by Ogilvy Hong Kong and Dentsu Jayme Syfu Philippines with 4 & 3 respectively

Dead Whale_new.jpgKFC_Shuttle.jpgDentsu Jayme Syfu Philippines and Ogilvy Hong Kong were Asia’s big winners at the Clio Awards. The Gold Silver and Bronze winners were released overnight and Asia scored an overall total of 16 Gold Statues.

29 Silver Statues also went to Asia.

Ogilvy Hong Kong’s KFC Hot & Spicy print and outdoor campaign was Asia’s single biggest winner with 4 Gold Awards across Outdoor, Print and Craft categories. The campaign also won a Bronze for the photography craft.

Dentsu Jayme Syfu Philippines’ ‘Dead Whale’ for Greenpeace also performed well, with 3 Gold Statues in Innovation, Out of Home and Craft. Their powerful concept also saw Dead Whale win a Silver and Bronze.

INNORED Korea scored 2 Gold Statues for their Banana-Flavored Milk ‘MyStraw’ campaign. Also winning 2 Golds was Ogilvy Group Thailand, whose Lego “Astronaut” won in Print and Craft categories. The Lego campaign also came away with 5 Silver Statues and 2 Bronze.

Single Gold winners were Ogilvy Singapore for their highly awarded “Pitching French Films to Hollywood”, GreynJ United Bangkok for the beautifully directed “Friendshit” web film, Amber China for their “Chop Chop – Beef” print work (also a Silver winner), TBWA\Thailand for their McDonald’s “The All Nighters” print campaign (also 3 Silvers), TBWA\India for “Blind to Speak” and TBWA\Hakuhodo Japan for AIG “Pride Jersey” (also winning 3 Silvers).
