The Social Street creates ‘Forgotten Pieces’ for Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society India

ARDSI - Kitchen.jpgAlzheimer’s is a progressive, degenerative brain ailment that affects memory, thinking and reasoning skill. Persons afflicted by this condition face a lot of problems performing familiar tasks, vision problems as well as personality changes. While medical science is yet to find a cure for this condition, treatment medication and management strategies can help improve symptoms.

An estimated 1.6 million people in India are suffering from Alzheimer’s today. However, the awareness and understanding about the disease is very low. By the year 2050 approximately 5 million people are expected to be suffering from Alzheimer’s across the country. ARDSI wanted to shed some light on matter.

 

The Social Street India created a print campaign ‘Forgotten Pieces’, aims to generate sensitivity towards people suffering with this form of dementia, by giving the public a glimpse of what they go through. The campaign brought out through a powerful visual, that shows how the simplest of things that they see around them seem like pieces of an intricate puzzle. Because, life really does puzzle them at every step.

 

This campaign won 5 metals, including 3 Golds, in the Still Craft, Still Print and Design categories at the Goafest Abbys 2018.
