GreynJ United Bangkok + Ogilvy Thailand land Gold Lions in prestigious Cannes Film Lions

GreynJ bkk on stage.jpgThailand has scored an impressive two Gold Lions in the prestigious Film Lions category at the Cannes Festival of creativity. In Total Asia scored 2 Gold Lions; 2 silver Lions; and 2 Bronze Lions.

A Gold Lion went to the lovely “Friendshit” short film from GreynJ United Bangkok for KasikornBank K Plus. The short film features the socially-awkward Hui, who finds it a daily uphill challenge to make friends and ingratiate herself into mainstream society, the spot weaves in the K Plus app as a mechanism the teens leverage as a platform to break the ice with people from all walks of life.

A second Gold went to Ogilvy Thailand for Voiz Waffle “The Secret”. The film shows the lengths two lovers will go to not share a Voiz Chocolate Waffle.

Friendshit.jpgVoiz Waffle The Secret.jpgTohokushinsha Film Company’s Uha Mikakuto Sakeru Gummy scored a Silver Lion. The campaign has 11 executions and was shot and produced by Tohokushinsha Film Co. Hakuhodo Tokyo was the creative agency.

Lobster & Co Thailand also won a Silver Lion for Elle Thailand “Forever”

Bronze lions went to J Walter Thompson Bangkok for Sunsilk “The Hair Talk” and Suneta House Bangkok for New Director Showreel “Ake Demo”

Saatchi & Saatchi New York, scored the Grand Prix Campaign Lion for Tide’s ‘It’s Another Tide Ad’, ‘It’s A Tide Ad’, It’s Yet Another Tide Ad’, ‘It’s Yet Another Tide Ad, Again’.

The other Grand Prix winner was BBDO New York for P&G ‘Talk’. 2,158 entries were received and 74 Lions awarded in Film: 10 Gold, 20 Silver and 42 Bronze.
