Joji Jacob.jpgJoji Jacob, Co-Founder and Creative Partner at BLK J Singapore, has been announced as an executive judge overseeing the Design and Print categories at AdStars 2018. He joins Wooh Hoh, Chief Creative Officer of Hakuhodo Asia Pacific and Toby Talbot, Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand, who were also recently announced as executive judges.

Jacob left DDB Singapore to form BLK J, an independent creative agency, in January 2017. It is the fastest growing independent agency in Singapore, winning 13 clients in just 12 months.

“I’m really looking forward to being an Executive Judge at AdStars. It’s a relatively young show and at this stage every jury gets to shape the direction it will take. I’m honoured to be invited,” says Jacob, who spent over 20 years with some of the biggest agencies in India and Singapore.

Jacob was named Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Director by the Institute of Advertising Singapore two years in a row, and during his seven-year tenure as Group Executive Creative Director of DDB Group Singapore, the agency won Agency of the Year at the Marketing Awards, at the Singapore Hall of Fame Awards and was awarded the same accolade by Campaign magazine. Prior to DDB, he was Creative Director of BBDO Singapore, and Head of Copy at JWT.

“Joji is honest, insightful and his positivity is infectious. As one of Asia’s top Creative Directors, he has led several agencies to the top of the league, and we are delighted he has agreed to join us in Busan this August,” says Hwan Jin Choi, Chair of the AdStars Executive Committee.

AdStars is free to enter, and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for Grand Prix of the Year winners. It runs from 23rd to 25th August at Bexco (Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre) in Busan, Korea.
