Wong (pictured) reports to Nicky Lim, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia, and is a member of the network group’s Executive Committee.

Lim said, “Sean has a proven track record in driving business performance, stemming from his ability to constantly think out of the box to find solutions for business challenges. Combined that with his diverse corporate and agency experiences, he holds great potential to propel Isobar’s business growth, as well as add tremendous value to the Dentsu Aegis group. No doubt Isobar is in good hands with Wong at the helm.”

Wong was most recently the Vice President, Executive Business Director and founding member of Ensemble Worldwide, IPG Mediabrands’ creative arm in Malaysia. Prior to IPG Mediabrands, his career spanned more than two decades across a range of industries, from wearing the hat of a financial analyst to sales & marketing management to being involved in big data insights led solutions consulting.

Wong, a business goals driven leader and an experienced public speaker, said, “Isobar is well established and is a leading global agency that delivers digital transformation through the creative use of technology. In Malaysia, its good work has not gone unnoticed either, having won numerous marketing effectiveness, digital and creative accolades. Such validation only reinforces Isobar’s strength in fusing creativity, technology and data led solutions in approaching complex business challenges. This unique proposition and vision resonates very well with me, so I’m really excited to be part of the Isobar network and Dentsu Aegis group.”

“That said, I look forward to working with the team to bring our global best practices to our network of clients to propel their businesses into category and market leader positions. Our focus is to leverage on our proven digital transformation capabilities and e-commerce consultancy, and together with the team, we will continue to produce cutting edge award-winning brand work that will help our clients grow their businesses,” Wong added.

Wong leads a team of over 40 talents at Isobar Malaysia, which brought home Malaysia’s only Gold from Spikes Asia Awards last year for its work for client, Mudah.my, and was named Malaysia’s Agency of the Year at the same event. The agency’s work for Mudah.my again won the esteemed ‘Golden Kancil’ top honours at the Kancil Awards 2017, five effectiveness awards at the Malaysia Effie Awards, and closed the year by topping Marketing Magazine Malaysia’s Most Awarded Digital Agency league table. In addition, in the recently released Gartner, Inc.’s Global Digital Agencies rankings, Isobar is again placed in the ‘Leaders quadrant’ in its Magic Quadrant of the Global Digital Agencies, this being the fourth consecutive time.

Jane Lin-Baden, Isobar Asia Pacific CEO, said, “Sean is a seasoned veteran in the local industry and I’m pleased to have him join us. His diverse experience at both ends of agency and brands/business is well-placed to help us chart the next wave of growth for Isobar in Malaysia, to help clients along their business transformation journey. I also want to thank Ben for his contribution to Isobar throughout his tenure here, and we look forward to working with him again in his new role within the network.”

Ben Chew, who was the Managing Director for the past four years, has taken up another role within Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia.
