Day 2. Thursday 22 March

Today was another chance to have a look at some great work in between speakers. Rafael Guida from Facebook started the day with practical guide to mobile storytelling, which is an essential skill.

The exceptional talent of the directors chosen as the Fabulous Four was displayed, dissected and discussed in a great conversation moderated by Timo Mitsuaki Otsuki.

Nick Wood from Syn Music presented a compelling case of how music can make all the difference to your marketing. This was the second presentation from the music industry that highlighted how music can make or break your marketing efforts if you make it an after thought.

Cogy Wheelchair.jpgDogs.jpgJoseph Kahn finished the day in inspirational style with the presentation of his craft and work he has done.

I had another walk around he displays and found some gems in the Innovation category. The Cogy Wheelchair, designed for people not to give up on their rehabilitation, was a standout. It’s simple, it works and it’s now out there in the marketplace.

The 2000 piece voucher for Mainland Cheese was a winner, a giant puzzle that’s a voucher. On brand, engaging and effective. I also liked the posters for Lego and JBL because they simply looked stunning, beautifully crafted and executed.

The day finished with drinks at the revolving bar and a great impromptu music session, at 3am, back at the hotel’s restaurant.
