In his new role, he will be reporting to Jose Carlo Consunji, CEO, Campaigns & Grey. Demata will oversee all creative output from the Manila and Cebu offices – including ATL, Digital, PR, CSR and Shopper Marketing.

Demata (pictured left) has won an impressive number of regional and international awards including the Philippines’ first-ever Cannes Grand Prix and the first-ever D&AD Yellow Pencil for the Smart TXTBKS campaign, as well as awards such as the Grand Prix, Best of Show, Gold, Silver and Bronze from Clio, New York Festivals, London International Awards, Spikes and One Show.

Demata joins Grey from Tribal DDB, where he was the ECD since 2015 and led the digital agency’s creative work on PLDT, SMART, Johnson & Johnson, Mang Inasal, among others.

Prior to joining Tribal, he spent several years at DM9 JaymeSyfu / Digit as its Executive Creative Director and with just four years into its operations, he was instrumental in DM9 JaymeSyfu being named the “Most Creative Agency in the Philippines”. In 2011, Demata also received The Hall of Fame award from The Creative Guild of the Philippines. He was ranked #1 Executive Creative Director in the Philippines by the The Big Won 2014 creative rankings, and has been constantly included in the Top Creatives in Asia.

“Leading the teams and clients to success is my greatest joy, and working with C&G excites me a lot. I know that working together, we will always offer innovative and game changing solutions to our clients’ problems”, says Eugene.

Adds Jose Carlo Consunji: “Eugene’s hybrid experience in Digital and Above-the-Line communications and his stellar creative portfolio stood out to us as we looked for someone to elevate the work that we do and make C&G more competitive in its digital offerings.  He’s also known to be an inspiring leader and an incredible mentor to young talent who are raring to create Famously Effective work.  Grey – from the Philippines, Asia-Pacific to New York – is excited to have Eugene, especially in our Centennial year. ”
