Cheil PengTai partners with Samsung Hong Kong to launch latest smart curved TV on social media

SUHDTV_pdtshot_A.jpgCheil PengTai has partnered with Samsung Hong Kong to launch its latest smart TV, the 55 inch SUHD 4K Curved Smart TV (KS9800) in the Hong Kong market through social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram – which aims to attract a younger target audience group. The online social media campaign started on December 1st and will be spilt into 2 phases which will end on December 8th. To narrow down a specific target audience group, two local KOL’s are partnering with the brand to encourage more interaction by asking followers to submit UGC (user generated content) which will roll out on Samsung Hong Kong’s Facebook page not only to play up the TV “realism” experience but also increase the engagement of fans and followers on the social platforms.

Chrissie_FB_themed content post on SEHK page.jpgChrissie_FB 360 launch post.jpgFor the Dec 1st kick-off, celebrity/model/fitness guru, Chrissie Chau who has currently 645,000 followers on Instagram and 315,246 fans via Facebook will be highlighted through Facebook 360-view lens content which you can maneuver personally with your device. The effect is to highlight the realness of the TV image – as if you are watching a real life scene live.

For those who want to join in the UGC contest, the most fun photos and videos will be rewarded with a ‘SUHD TV Live Reward Experience’ where the two KOL’s will personally deliver the actual product to the winner’s home in person. This will also be uploaded live to the Samsung HK Facebook and Instagram pages.

The 2nd phase of this campaign will use the KOL, Supper Moment, one of the most up and coming Canto-band in Hong Kong where they have a strong following of up to 33,000 followers on Instagram and 113,611 fans on Facebook.
