Grey, Ogilvy & Mather + Cheil the stars of the show at the Hong Kong 4As Kam Fan Awards

Kam Fan_Grey.jpgThe Hong Kong 4As Kam Fan Awards were presented last night and in total 44 awards were handed out. The HK4As Kam Fan Awards are Hong Kong’s premier awards night and is always a hotly contested show.

 

This year Grey Hong Kong picked up the most awards to become 2016’s Creative Agency of the Year, while Zenith Media was named the top Media Agency of the Year.

 

Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong & Cheil Hong Kong also had great nights, just behind in the creative tally in 2nd & 3rd places respectively, with each of them bagging a prestigious Kam Fan Award.

This year no Grand Prix Kam Fan Award was handed out.

 

KFC Kam Fan.jpgBeTheirEyes.jpgThe two Kam Fans awarded this year were to KFC’s “Finger Licking Good” by Ogilvy & Mather in the Integrated category, and Cheil’s “#BeTheirEyes” for Samsung in the Promo & Activation category.

 

This year’s jury was led by Lo Sheung Yan (Mayan) from J Walter Thompson China.

Mayan’s overall comment was: “This year, we can see some works have reached international standard, but some channels of the overall integrated campaign could have been better executed to the fullest to be awarded as the Grand Kam Fan”.

 

In total 1 Integrated Kam Fan, 1 Promo & Activation Kam Fan, 2 Golds, 10 Silvers and 30 Bronzes were awarded. Both Gold awards were picked up by Grey for their “Wellcome VO Recording Tour – Shoppers’ Got Talent” campaign in the Media and Field Marketing categories.

 

The HK4As continues to receive the sponsorship from Create Hong Kong of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau to sponsor the Kam Fan Winners & Young Kam Fan Winners to compete in the International Awards shows at Cannes, AdFest Thailand & Spikes Asia.
