Michael_Knox_web.jpgGrey Melbourne chief creative officer and managing partner Michal Knox is set to move to a regional role taking on creative responsibilities for Grey Hong Kong.

Knox has been with Grey Melbourne for five years, since moving across from sister WPP shop Ogilvy Melbourne in May 2011. An international and local search for a creative director to replace Knox at Grey Melbourne is well underway.

As a result of the move, Claudia McInerney, who has been with Grey for over eight years, has been appointed managing director, Grey Melbourne.

In other appointments at Grey Melbourne, Sally Richmond and Lauren Doolan have been appointed associate creative directors along with Renee Luri as design director.

Says Paul Worboys, Grey Group Australia chief operating officer: “I’m thrilled that we can promote from within. Over the years Knoxy and this team have been focused and bloody minded about driving the creative reputation of our clients forward. And testament to that are all the Cannes Lions and Effies won along the way.

“Our Melbourne office is in great hands. It’s brilliant to be able to have such senior leaders like Claudia, Danish, Sally, Lauren and Renee at the helm, as Michael’s remit within Grey evolves”.
