MRM//McCann hires Steven Hua as GM and Richard Wang as creative partner in Beijing

Steven and Richard - MRM McCann Beijing.jpgMRM//McCann has made two senior appointments to further advance its Beijing operation, appointing Steven Hua and Richard Wang as General Manager and Creative Partner, respectively, with immediate effect.

The boost in MRM//McCann’s Beijing leadership team ensures that the agency can best capitalize on opportunities, ramping up performance and helping MRM//McCann to better meet clients’ evolving needs.

Hua (pictured above left) will be responsible for overseeing the business portfolio of the Beijing office and helping the agency to grow its client roster. He will report to Mike Zeng, Managing Director of MRM//McCann China.

Zeng commented, “Steven’s strengths in strategic thinking, new business ambitions and market knowledge, combined with a passion for innovation, will further MRM//McCann’s positive reputation in this dynamic marketplace.”

Hua was most recently a business director for Isobar Shanghai, where he managed all aspects of digital and social media marketing for clients including Coca Cola, RIOT and Tencent in China. Prior to Isobar, Hua worked in various marketing and business development roles at DDB, McCann Health, and Publicis 133, serving a diverse portfolio of accounts such as Mengniu, Volkswagen and DS.

Wang’s appointment is a newly-created role, in which he will oversee the creative development for each account in the Beijing office, guiding his team to deliver the most effective digital and integrated marketing solutions. As Creative Partner, he will report to Hua.

With more than 14 years of experience in strategic counselling and integrated campaigns, Wang (pictured above right) has developed expertise in both creative excellence and digital marketing. Previously a creative director with DDB, Wang has also set-up and run his own agency. Wang has a proven track record developing and delivering successful creative solutions for a broad range of clients, including Huawei, China CITIC Bank, and IBM.
