Gudang Garam.jpgSeven Sunday Films has recently completed aspirational campaign ‘Corporate Independence Day’ (Harapan Anak Bangsa) for Gudang Garam via agency Dentsu One.

Celebrating Indonesian Independence Day, the hope behind the peoples’ everyday stories and pride behind their efforts, this energetic yet elegant campaign directed by Abimael Gandy, shows there are always two sides to every story of success.

Gudang Garam2.jpgAs the year marks Indonesia’s 71st Independence Day, the campaign cleverly flips ’71’ to the present day (August 17th 2016) to carry forward the spirit of independence and to celebrate all that the country has accomplished. Using the transitional device of following examples of people’s hard work turning into great achievements, the campaign successfully captures all of the emotion of the day.

Gudang Garamgeneral manager, marketing communications, Hersunyoto, said, “This commercial is a collection of ideas, idealism and subjectivityso putting them all into the one big concept is not easy. I am lucky that this commercial is a blend of Seven Sunday’s experience and director Gandy’s brilliant creativity and GG vision.”

Seven Sunday Films founder and EP, Rodney Vincent, believes Gudang Garam is creating a legacy with epic and heroic Independence Day films. “The spots lift the spirit and boosts moral, and in a way have become a tradition of their own,” he says.
