Cannes Outdoor Lions awards 3 Gold, 3 Silver + 5 Bronze to Asia: Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Monday Bangkok take home Gold Lions

Thai Health_SMILING.jpgSaatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Monday Bangkok have both starred at the Outdoor Lions awards presentation that concluded just minutes ago at the Cannes Festival of Creativity.

Both agencies scored Gold Lions in the main categories, and Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore backed this up again in the Outdoor craft category with another Gold Lion (for art direction) and Silver Lion (for photography).

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore’s 3 Lions were for their Thai Health Promotion Foundation “Portraits, Thinking, Smiling” public service campaign (left). The campaign picked up Bronze in last night’s Print + Publishing category.

Monday Bangkok added another Gold Lion to their luggage this year with their Dutch Mill Co. Arabus Coffee “Man, Lady, Office” campaign. This campaign also picked up Gold in the Print + Publishing category, presented last night.

Y&R Shanghai was awarded a Silver Lion and a Bronze Craft Lion for The Samaritans campaign.

TBWA Thailand was also a Silver Lion winner – for the “Loving the Night” posters for McDonald’s (see below). The agency also won for this campaign in the Print + Publishing category, winning 2 Silver Lions and 1 Bronze last night.

Dentsu Tokyo came away with 2 Bronze Lions for Toyota I-Road “Open Road Project” (see below) and D&AD Awards Exhibition “Pure Design” in Craft.

J Walter Thompson Singapore for “Alcohol Art” for the Automobile Association of Singapore.

BBDO Bangkok for Thai Health Promotion Foundation “Absorbplate”.

TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno Philippines for Boysen Paints “Countless Colours”

From 5,367 Outdoor entries, 129 Lions were awarded. The Grand Prix went to Colenso BBDO Auckland for the DB Export “Brewtroleum” campaign entered into the Integrated Campaign led by Outdoor category. Jury President, Ricardo John, Chief Creative Officer of J. Walter Thompson, said, “Brewtroleum proved that outdoor has no boundaries. To make gas out of beer? That’s unbelievable! It proves that agencies are going deeper and solving clients’ business problems with creativity.”
