In response to the company’s growing presence in Asia and surrounding regions, The Sweet Shop has promoted Executive Producer Daniel Ho (pictured left) to the role of Managing Director and appointed longtime producing partner Laura Geagea (right) to the role of in-house Executive Producer.

“I’m very excited to be joining The Sweet Shop and its global network with all the exposure and challenges that come with it. I’ve kept a close eye on their work and achievements over the years and am very much looking forward to working more closely with this vibrant international team,” says Geagea about her new position.

A seasoned producer with experience across all types of media, Geagea has been the lead on projects as diverse as art installations, photoshoots, commercials, feature films and more. This broad range of skills combined with her fluency in Mandarin, English, French, and Arabic lead to a position as an in-house commercial producer for Black and Cameron where she amassed an impressive list of international clients. In 2013, Geagea transitioned into the freelance market where she began a close working relationship with The Sweet Shop.

“We have worked together closely over the last few years and I know that Laura is the perfect fit for us,” says Ho about Geagea’s appointment.

Ho, who in 2015 was appointed to the role of Executive Producer, will now take on the role of Managing Director where he will continue to focus on the company’s growing demands in the Asia/MENA region.

Ho said about his new promotion, “It’s a fast changing market, and a very large and diverse one. It’s going to be an interesting time and I look forward to the challenge.”

“Laura Geagea is a first class producer and the right kind of person to be our Executive Producer for The Sweet Shop Asia,” says Paul Prince, The Sweet Shop’s CEO and Founding Partner. “Now with Daniel Ho as Managing Director and Laura Geagea as EP we’re strengthening our commitment to Greater Asia while growing the expertise of our Global Management Team. This is very important for our Clients and our Directors. Exciting times ahead.”
