TBWA transfers Franck Besson and Frank Marinus to Asia Pacific to oversee McDonald’s

TBWA has drafted two of its key talents on the McDonald’s account to the Asia Pacific region.

Joining TBWA in Shanghai as Vice President, APMEA, is Franck Besson (pictured left), who will lead the McDonald’s business in China and across Asia-Pacific. Besson was formerly the global brand leader for McDonald’s, based from TBWA\Paris. He brings over 10 years of global market experience on the McDonald’s brand.

Frank Marinus (pictured right) also joins TBWA as Creative Director working on the McDonald’s brand. Marinus will be based in Tokyo, Japan at the TBWA\HAKUHODO office. He was formerly the European Creative Director for McDonald’s at TBWA\Belgium. He will now lead the McDonald’s creative work in both Japanese and Chinese markets.

Commenting on the two appointments, Joanne Lao, Chief Executive Officer of TBWA\ Greater China said, “These two senior transfers represent an important on-going commitment to support the growth ambitions of the McDonald’s brand in China.”
