Jonathan Liu joins IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong as head of performance marketing

Jonathan_Liu7.jpgTo grow and expand its diversified business portfolio, particularly in areas of digital innovation, data creativity and performance marketing, IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong has brought on board Jonathan Liu, as the head of Performance Marketing.

 

Reporting to Lilian Leong, managing director of Mediabrands’ Hong Kong operations, Liu (pictured) will lead digital initiatives, search marketing (Reprise), mobile and programmatic buying (Cadreon), along with James Tagg, the mobile and digital expert who joined the team in January this year. Liu will also serve as the regional head of Reprise, Mediabrands’ Search Marketing specialist agency. He brings his in depth experience in SEM, SEO, social and performance display, product sales and marketing, to the team.

The former head of Performance Media & Analytics at Neo@Ogilvy, Liu founded Moonlight Digital in 2010, a company which was acquired by Ogilvy in October 2014. Over the course of running Moonlight, Liu has worked with clients such as Hong Kong Express, IHG, Wanda Group, Huawei, ZTE and Cisco supporting digital marketing programs, ranging from web development to social media to online advertising and analytics. Throughout all these engagements, he leveraged design, technology and measurement to achieve results for brands. Before Moonlight, he managed Asia search marketing efforts for Hotels.com, part of Expedia. Liu also spent five years with Yahoo! both in the US and in Asia from 2005 to 2010, working in various functions across sales and operations.
