TBWA/Being Shanghai awarded Gold and Silver Lions in the Media category at Cannes Lions

Search for free wifi_1.jpgTBWA/Being Shanghai has been awarded a Gold Lion and a Silver Lion in the Media category at the Cannes Lions Festival.

TBWA/Being Shanghai won both Lions for their "Search for free Wifi, search for missing children" for their campaign for Baobeihuijia.

Other agencies from Asia to score Lions are Cheil Worldwide South Korea, who picked up two Silver Lions for "Morning Like a King" for Burger King.

PHD Singapore, Grey Group Singapore, Y&R China and BBDO India all collected a Bronze Lion each.
PHD Singapore's award was for "Johnnie Walker Blue Label - The Gentleman's Wager", Grey Group Singapore won for "Visual Dictionary" for the British Council, Y&R China's win was for "Breathe Again" for Xiao Zhu and BBDO India's award was for "Touch the Pickle" for Procter & Gammble.

In Media, 80 Lions were awarded including the Grand Prix to Y&R Team Red, Istanbul for Vodafone, "Vodafone Red Light Application / Between Us". Speaking about the work, Nick Emery, Global CEO, Mindshare, said that it was clever, a good cause and a great media idea. "It embraces the best of both a corporate campaign and the originality of an NGO approach. Technology was at its heart and it also has an adaptable and flexible media approach, personalised to the women of Turkey."
