The Thinking Machine Asia takes on Anil Thomas as chief creative officer based in Jakarta

Anil Thomas.jpgThe Thinking Machine Asia has strengthened its operations by bringing on board Anil Ralph Thomas as partner and Chief Creative Officer. He will be operating from the Jakarta office. Thomas will also be overseeing branded content, digial and mobile initiatives for the agency.

Thomas (pictured) brings with him an extensive wealth of 20 years of experience in the advertising industry. His work includes branding, design, advertising, direct marketing, promotions, events, digital for clients in categories as diverse as FMCG, banking, automobiles, insurance, durables, hospitality, IT, telecom, realty, media, healthcare, social and rural welfare.

An advertising all rounder, he has worked across Account Management, Account Planning & Creative, not wanting to stop there, he is also a film director. “Either you like the people you work with or work with people you like. I decided on the latter. I’ve known the other partners from before. And enjoy working with them. We also share the same drive and a common vision. Besides in advertising you have to enjoy working and if you are not enjoying, you are not really working. And for me The Thinking Machine, Asia works!” said Thomas.

His previous assignment was with McCann as Regional Creative Director. Prior to which he was with Ogilvy & Lowe Lintas India. Thomas has worked on multinational brands like General Motors, Unilever, Cocoa Cola, Peretti Van Melle, Cadbury Schweppes, Mars (Skittles), LG, Bic Products, Dow AgroSciences. And Major Indian brands like ITC Foods, Britannia, Parle Agro, Godrej Properties, Taj Group of Hotels, Blue Star, Titan, Aircel, TVS Motors, etc

With over 100 advertising films in his portfolio, Thomas has also been recognized with awards in Clio, Cannes, Adfest, FAB, & GoaFest.
