Yukfoo designs and animates watercolour elements for Darbo Honey TVC via DMB, Vienna

DARBO_PR.jpgYukfoo has recently collaborated with renowned director Tracey Rowe via production company Grandma, Blockhead and agency DMB Vienna on a spot for Darbo for its honey varieties.

Rowe has had a long creative association with Darbo and this new spot follows the adventures of a plucky aviatrix as she collects the golden nectar. Yukfoo was tasked with designing and animating the watercolour illustrative elements of the film that bring the world outside the hive alive with both beauty and peril.

Says Alan Dickson, Yukfoo’s director: “There is something magical about collaborative projects and it’s great to be part of a team that brings such a diversity of skills to the table. Watching a project like this unfold from conception to completion is immensely satisfying.”

It’s not often that the artists at Yukfoo have the opportunity to get the brushes out on a project but to ensure that we got the watercolour look just right each frame of the animation was carefully hand-painted before being scanned and composited into the final film.
