Ogilvy & Mather Asia leads the way for Asia at the shortlist stage in Cannes Lions Promo+Activation

CannesLionsLogo_2014.jpgThe shortlist for the Cannes Lions Promo & Activation category has just been released with exactly 300 entries making the cut.

Asia’s top performer at this stage of the competition is Ogilvy & Mather who have half of the 24 shortlists from Asia countries. Leading the way for Ogilvy is their Beijing office with all of China’s shortlist tally of 4. Ogilvy Bangkok has 3 of Thailand’s 4 shortlists. Ogilvy India has both of India’s shortlists and Ogilvy Singapore has 2 of Singapore’s tally of 3. Ogilvy Hong Kong also has 1 of Hong Kong’s tally of 3 shortlists.

Asia’s 24 shortlists in Promo & Activation is lead by Japan with 5; China and Thailand with 4; Singapore and Hong Kong have 3 each; India has 2 shortlists; with Indonesia, Vietnam, and Pakistan with 1 shortlist each.

Special shout out to BBDO Pakistan as, in Campaign Brief Asia’s (hazy) memory, this is their country’s first ever shortlist in Cannes.
