JWT Kolkata and Rotary help children swing towards their dreams with free heart surgery
The occurrence of congenital heart disease is 8 per 1,000 live births in India. Rotary arranges free heart surgery at private hospitals, for underprivileged children who cannot afford the cost of surgery. Each child Rotary saves is a tribute to humanity and compassion – giving us hope for the future.
Production house Eeksaurus and JWT Kolkata created this CG animated film which tells the story of repairing the heart lines of thousands of Indian children by providing them with a new and better life and giving them the hope of swinging towards their dream.
A completely different approach of the animation pipeline is derived, so as to keep intact both the message of the film and look and feel. The animation pipeline includes a combination of the 2d traditional line drawing approach of animation and 3d asset creation and animation. They followed the traditional 2d animation route before actually mapping the lines onto the 3d photo-realistic hand model, so as to achieve the objective of the film in terms of look and feel. The singer is talented slum kids of Mumbai’s Govandi who’s voice captured a billion hearts.
