Sadoun is taking direct responsibility for Greater China, as a top 5 market for Publicis. The Greater China management team will report to him. Sadoun (left) was named Publicis Worldwide CEO in October last year leading the largest global agency network for the holding company with nearly 9,000 employees in some 80 countries.

Given the current goals of Publicis Greater China, the decision was made that Jeffrey Yu leave his role as CEO of Greater China. This was announced late last week. Loris Nold, CEO of APAC is taking direct responsibility for global clients. In this capacity, he will leverage Publicis Worldwide’s capabilities across the region so that clients can benefit from the best possible resources.

Laurie Kwong, former CEO of Publicis Greater China is appointed as non-executive Chairman. She will work closely with Sadoun and Nold to accelerate the development of Publicis in Greater China.

A new Comex is formed, comprised of the top executives in Greater China together with Kwong and Nold.

Arthur Sadoun said: “Asia is a top priority for us. After the arrival of Andrew Baxter from Ogilvy in Australia and Lou delaPena from TBWA in Singapore, I wanted to make sure that we had the right structure in place to accelerate growth and digitalization in Greater China. We have a very strong leadership team and fantastic talents and our newly formed comex will allow us to work better together, for the benefit of our clients. I count on our senior management team in Greater China and Loris to make sure that our clients get the best people and expertise. I am also very pleased to have Laurie back in our family for this new chapter. She did an amazing job when leading Publicis Greater China and I am very confident that she will be very successful in this chairman capacity. We have huge ambitions in Greater China and her experience will help us a lot to make the right choices for leading the change in Greater China.”

Loris Nold added: “I am thrilled to be working more closely with Laurie and the Greater China management team. My priority in APAC is to drive connectivity across, for the benefit of our global clients. We have fantastic capabilities in China, and I am looking forward to better leverage these across the wider region”.
