Samsung curbs bad driving behaviour with new Eyes on the Road app via Cheil Singapore

Singapore is ranked top in smartphone usage. However, bad mobile habits have caused agony, especially on the roads where drivers text while they drive. The dangers are fatal, yet Singaporeans remain ignorant about it. Samsung hopes to curb this behaviour.
So the app, Eyes on the Road, is created by Cheil Singapaore. Using sensor fusion technology, the app detects motion at above 20km/hr. Calls and SMSes will be temporarily blocked. Social media alerts silenced. Auto-generated messages inform that the user is driving. The app is deactivated after 10 minutes of idleness, or done so manually.

After a bunch of dodgy apps that help blind people see, this struck me as pretty useful. Congrats to all…this will not only win awards but most importantly, save lives.
The same idea with one created by Naga DDB Malaysia few years back.
I still cant find the link for the visual but this link is from the Spike Asia entry.

The only similarity with the link you pasted is that it’s for road safety.
This is a great app idea, don;t let the haters hate. Well done.
Just said. For me, installing the app needs another step while listening to radio is what we always do while driving.
It depends which one you think is more practical. =)
Yeah….no app can ever be successful cos you have to instal them first….who wouldve thought?
