Kogan plays off ‘selfie’ phenomenon with the launch of the Zuckerberg Selfie Stick

KHSLFSTIKMR-webres.jpgThe selfie phenomenon has taken the world by storm. The new art form has given us a unique insight into the lives of celebrities, created a powerful new form of self expression, and just last week it was named the Oxford English Dictionary 2013 word of the year.

But, they’re not perfect. Accidentally cropped duck faces, photobombs, and cracked screens from dropped phones are holding selfies back. Enter the Zuckerberg Selfie Stick – Kogan’s newest product on sale today for just $19.

In honour of the creator of the go-to platform for selfies, the product will be called the Zuckerberg Selfie Stick.

The real travesty is, Mark Zuckerberg actually hasn’t yet posted a selfie on Facebook.

Kogan-Zuckerberg-Selfie-Stick-Menlo-Park-ex.jpgRuslan Kogan, founder and CEO of Kogan, has issued an open letter to Zuckerberg, urging him to post his first ever selfie on Facebook with the Zuckerberg Selfie Stick. The product has just arrived and been signed for at Facebook HQ.

You can read the open letter from Ruslan Kogan to Mark Zuckerberg here.

Kogan is hopeful he’ll do it in a bid to stop Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian taking all the credit for selfies. If however Zuckerberg refuses to do it, Kogan will change the official name of the product to the Kardashian Selfie Stick.
