Says Kun-Hee Ahn, global CEO of Innocean Worldwide: “We understand the importance of Creativity in building our clients brands – World leading brands deserve world leading creativity – there is no one better on the planet to help us in this objective than Bob Isherwood who will lead our newly formed Global Creative Council.”

Says Isherwood: “When Innocean first reached out to me it was with the purpose of a single meeting to help them set up a Global Creative Council. As we talked though, I began to build a strong connection to Mr Ahn, both his values and his vision. So it seemed a natural next step to go beyond just helping shape the Council to playing a part in bringing it to life, and purpose.

“I also love that Innocean is owned by Hyundai. They have a vested interest in the agency becoming one of the most creative networks in the World. For Innocean that’s a great aspiration, especially when it’s partly driven by your largest client.”

Australian-born Isherwood is the former worldwide creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi.

For 12 years, Isherwood took ultimate responsibility for the communications ideas the company created for some of the world’s major corporations including Proctor & Gamble and Toyota. He was for example the global creative director responsible for the launch and mass marketing of Toyota’s Prius.

It was under Isherwood’s leadership that the Saatchi & Saatchi network won almost 8,000 significant awards.

His work has been documented in many books and endorsed by the industry’s most prestigious national and international award shows. He won Australia’s first Gold Lion for Film at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and is one of the few people to have ever won a British Design and Art Direction gold award for advertising.

Isherwood has been elected to the Clio Hall of Fame in the US, and the Writers and Art Directors Hall of Fame in Australia.

He has served as president of the Film and Press and Poster juries at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. In 2007 he received the Clio Lifetime Achievement Award “in recognition of outstanding and ongoing contribution by an individual who is leading the industry forward.”

In December 2007, Isherwood received the first ever Honorary Doctorate in Communications from RMIT at a ceremony at the Melbourne Telstra Dome. In 2008, he was invited to contribute to the “Australia 2020” initiative.

In addition to his work with Dialog Health, (his own company focused on mobile phone products within Healthcare), he has acted as creative chairman for the UN/IAA Climate Change Initiative, and is Dean of the Creative Academy for the Cannes International Creativity Festival.

Isherwood is co-author of the book ‘World Changing Ideas’ and an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee where he lives.
