Garuda Indonesia and Liverpool FC have today launched a TVC to be aired in Indonesia, South-East Asia, Europe and Australia.

officialglobal.jpgAs part of the partnership with Liverpool FC, Garuda Indonesia has brought the team to the region on a Garuda Indonesia A330-300 LFC branded aircraft, and has carried out various marketing campaigns in conjunction with the team. This includes Garuda Indonesia advertisements both online and on electronic advertising hoardings around the edge of the Anfield pitch during home games; games which are broadcast by international TV networks to audiences around the world.

In addition, Garuda Indonesia has also been given access to reach over 10 million fans through Liverpool’s official Facebook account and 1 million of Liverpool’s Twitter followers.

The partnership between Garuda Indonesia and Liverpool FC is in line with the airline’s transformation and expansion program through Quantum Leap 2011-2015 and its strategy to become a global player.

Says Erik Meijer, Garuda Indonesia’s new vice president of marketing and sales: “The partnership with Liverpool FC represents how far Garuda Indonesia has come, and shows how serious we are about the global market and our international growth. Liverpool FC has a huge international following and it is really rewarding to be working so closely with a brand that has such a passionate fan base.”

Garuda Indonesia’s partnership with Liverpool FC is part of the airline’s strategy to increase its brand awareness in the international market through marketing communication programs, in particular, through this co-branded, joint channel program between Garuda Indonesia and Liverpool FC.

As official global airline partner, Garuda Indonesia will host the teams’ travel through Indonesia, Australia and Thailand, where they will play matches on 20, 24 and 28 July respectively. Liverpool Football Club’s pre-season tour comes in a bid to connect with fans throughout the world.
