GuyBarke.jpgIsobar today announced the appointment of Guy Barke as Integrated Business Director. Based in Singapore and reporting to Chris Ryan, Executive Director – International Clients, Isobar APAC, Barke will lead the development of the agency’s regional business with a specific focus on P&G, and as a key member of Isobar’s senior regional management team.

Barke’s appointment is part of Isobar’s ongoing mission to hire pioneering senior talents from varied backgrounds, which is driven by the convergence of the traditional and digital world. This follows the agency’s recent appointments of Graham Kelly as Regional Executive Creative Director, Isobar APAC and Liberty Hsu as Executive Creative Director, wwwins Isobar Taiwan.

“Guy has an excellent track record in consumer goods and a number of years’ experience working alongside P&G. He brings with him a level of maturity in business and brand thinking that will help strengthen Isobar’s growing partnership with P&G across the region, and continue to drive integrated business solutions for our client,” said Ryan.

“Over the past few years, we have seen a significant increase in major blue chip brands wanting a creative agency with digital strength at its core. Great senior talent, like Guy, will turbo-charge Isobar’s ability to provide business solutions using a more holistic view,” said Jean Lin, CEO Isobar APAC and Global Chief Strategy Officer.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining a young and ambitious digital agency like Isobar. We’re at a point where digital is rapidly transitioning from being an add-on to clients’ marketing plans, to being the key platform at the centre of all communications. Being able to provide leadership in this area will be a key differentiator going forward,” said Barke.

Barke has over 25 years of experience in the communications industry, 17 of which have been spent in Asia working across key categories for clients such as P&G, GSK, J&J, Reckitt Benckiser, McDonalds, Cadbury, Gillette, Boots, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba, Motorola and Esso.

Before joining Isobar, Barke was Team Leader for GSK Asia at Grey, where he was responsible for hub teams based in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, as well as local resources for six brands across eight markets in the region. Prior to that, he held the roles of Worldwide Account Director at Leo Burnett and VP/Director at McCann Erickson.
