DDB Group Hong Kong scoop the Grand Kam Fan at this year’s Kam Fan Awards: DDB and Leo Burnett take lions share of awards
DDB Group Hong Kong was handed the local industry’s most prestigious creative recognition on Friday night when it was crowned Creative Agency of the Year at the Kam Fan Awards 2012.
The agency also won the top award of the night, the Grand Kam Fan, which went to McDonald’s for its widely acclaimed ‘I’m Amazing’ campaign.
Taking the awards by storm, DDB Group Hong Kong and Guangzhou’s Executive Creative Director Jeffry Gamble was named Creative of the Year. DDB also took home the Outdoor Kam Fan, the Media Kam Fan, and the Best Integrated Campaign for McDonald’s ‘I’m Amazing’. The Client of the Year prize went to McDonald’s for the ‘I’m Amazing campaign’. DDB also won four Golds, six Silvers and 11 Bronze awards.
Leo Burnett also enjoyed a great night with a haul of 2 gold, 18 silver and 7 bronze. McCann Worldgroup received 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze, JWT 4 silver and 5 bronze, O&M 2 silver and 8 bronze, Kymechow Communications 1 gold and 4 silver, Grey had 2 silver and 6 bronze, Publicis had 2 silver and Bates 2 bronze. Whilst in the media category Mindshare did well with 3 silver and 1 bronze.
