Lee rejoins JWT from McCann Worldgroup Hong Kong, where he served as Group Creative Director. Prior to that role, he worked with JWT Hong Kong, Bates Hong Kong, Ogilvy and Mather, and Euro RSCG.

Fu, a talented copywriter who worked at JWT Hong Kong since 2007, moves up from her current role as Group Creative Director. She has also worked at M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy and Mather, Bates Hong Kong and DDB Hong Kong.

Their appointment is part of JWT Hong Kong’s strategy to dial up its creative offering and position the agency as market leader. JWT Hong Kong’s executive team worked closely with Lo Sheung Yan, JWT Asia Pacific’s award-winning North Asia Executive Creative Director and China Chairman, over several months to hand-pick the best candidates to achieve this vision.

“We are determined to become a tier-one creative powerhouse in Hong Kong. To this end, we need a creative leadership that not only offers quality, but is young, dynamic, passionate and hungry for success, as well,” said Dennis Wong, CEO of JWT Hong Kong. “We met many candidates and concluded that the dynamic duo of Barbara and Philip fits the bill perfectly well.”

Lee and Fu, who will work as an art-and-copy team, each have solid track records at producing solid, award winning work.

“I am very excited about going back to JWT. It is a network that respects and treasures creativity. It is an honor to be part of it,” said Lee.

“It’s a great opportunity to take on this new role together with Philip. JWT Hong Kong is an agency full of vibrant and passionate people, where we all share the same vision: to make this agency one that truly belongs to the future, one that agile to and makes the best use of new trends in communication to excel in the world of advertising,” added Fu.
