Eriksson (left) will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for R/GA’s clients within the APAC region, led out of the Singapore office and marrying R/GA’s global planning expertise with deep pan-regional and local insights. Eriksson will report into William Charnock, Chief Strategy Officer R/GA.

“Christer is a great addition to the global planning team R/GA is building to guide and advise our clients,” said Charnock. “He has a very strong digital background and has applied his talents beyond digital into broader innovation and business strategy. He’s exactly the type of talent R/GA and our clients are looking for.”

Born in Malaysia and brought up across Asia, Eriksson spent the last eleven years of his career focused on multiple facets of digital technology and communications in APAC. Before joining R/GA Christer spent a brief stint at Razorfish Singapore as regional strategy director, which followed his previous roles as the regional strategy director of The Upper Storey, and various roles at Tribal DDB across Asia including general manager of Tribal DDB (Singapore, Hong Kong), and strategy director of Tribal DDB (China). He also spent six years with Euro RSCG across Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

“As far as I’m concerned, R/GA is the number one agency to work for with not only an incredibly rich history, but also a truly unique and inspirational approach to the industry – with the work to prove it.” said Eriksson. “There are few agencies in Asia right now who can mix strategy, technology and creativity as well as R/GA can. I’m looking forward to applying my strategic experience and deep understanding of consumers in Asia to help this office, and our clients, continue to grow”.
