Grey Group makes key creative hire in Japan

Yohei Irie.jpgGrey Group Japan has appointed Yohei Irie as Chief Creative Officer. Irie is a celebrated creative professional who brings with him an impressive 26 years of professional and personal achievements. Irie (left) will report to Yumi Shibuya, President and CEO, Grey Group Japan.

Prior to joining Grey, Irie was founder and creative head of Propeller. Before that, he spent 24 years of his advertising career in McCann-Erickson where he was art director and later creative director. He worked on clients such as Nestlé Japan, Japan Coca-Cola, Microsoft, IBM, Asahi Beer, Asahi Soft Drinks, Cadbury Japan, Nipponkoa Insurance Group, Nichirei Foods, Levi’s, Tokyo Disneyland, Kadokawa Books, Tokyo Denwa, Fujitsu General, Surutto Kansai, Master Card, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, Ajinomoto amongst others.

Over the years his work has been recognized by a number of global, regional and local awards including Cannes Lions, London International Awards, International Broadcasting Awards, New York Festivals, Times Asia Pacific Awards, Eagle Awards, Nikkei Advertising Awards, JR East Poster Grand Prix, All Japan Radio & Television Commercial Confederation (ACC) and Japan Advertising Agencies Association (JAAA) to name a few.
