james procter 2.jpgCB Exclusive – James Procter, executive creative director at Y&R Singapore, has resigned citing personal reasons after 18 months in the role to return to his native Australia.

Says Procter: “I’m really proud of what we’ve been able to achieve in the time that I’ve been here. We’ve got a great crew in place and together, we’ve been able to land some prized accounts and pull in some good international metal too. For me it just felt like it was time and I’m currently looking at some options both here and back in Australia.”

Procter, who transferred from the ECD gig at George Patterson Y&R Sydney in December 2009, worked alongside group CEO network hub, Tanuj Philip and Marcus Rebeschini, chief creative officer of Asia.

The move comes after the loss of the sizable OCBC account, which resulted in other resignations at the agency.

Prior to joining Patts Procter was CD at CumminsNitro, Melbourne for three years, and before that worked atClemenger BBDO, Melbourne and Leonardi Brandhouse, Melbourne.
