Over 90% of breast cancers appear in women over 40. But the visual style of these ads looks like they are made to appeal to teenage girls. Then again,this being singapore we all know why exactly these ads were done.

1.43 - of course 90% of pro bono ads are created with awards in mind, but they are also welcomed by the client and get noticed and get a reaction. It's not just Singapore, it's all over the world. These stand out and get the message across.

These ads are designed for an awards judge...nice illustrations...but the visuals are just too contrived. There's no logic to it. WHY make the nipple look like a pimple? What's the connection between the two. The line didn't close the loop either.

I guess its one of those ads that relies just on the uniqueness of the picture to overcome any logic barriers.

Wasted opportunity IMO.

12.34...some of them must have the priorities right as they have won some exciting new business lately...I guess we will see whether this creative momentum will spread to the real work too. There's no sign of that so far.

Its a doddle to do print ads where there is no real client presence.. just a grateful retailer who will put up any poster as long as it is free.

3.48, isnt the highly awarded Funeral TVC what you might call 'government business'? Your sarcasm is partly the reason why this business is so messed up in the first place. Too many creatives blame clients instead of going back with something better. It's much easier hide behind pro bono ads because in there, it's just you playing by yourself in your make believe world.

The weak link in these ads has got to be the headline 'Are you obsessed with the right things?'. A more holistic creative would have realised that the visuals do not show 'obsession' per se....they just present 2 choices....worrying about something trivial v/s something potentially more serious. This is what the headline shouldve been based on. Right now theyve just got a tagline masquerading as a headline, which is a shame as these ads couldve been far stronger and clearer otherwise.
