Pully Chau joins Draftfcb China as Chairman/CEO

Pully Chau -headshot.jpgDraftfcb has officially announced the appointment of Pully Chau as chairman and CEO, Draftfcb Greater China.

 

“Pully will lead the Greater China region in building a world-class, performance-driven organization committed to creating brilliant ideas that truly matter to consumers and help change their behavior”, said Laurence Boschetto, president and CEO of Draftfcb.

 

Chau has worked in the advertising industry for more than 26 years, most recently as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Great Wall, China where over the past 10 years she tripled the agency’s revenue and for the last two years helped to successfully develop its digital and integrated marketing capabilities.  She also helped Saatchi & Saatchi Great Wall, China to win their first Cannes bronze and silver Lions and first gold Asia Pacific Effie award.

 

Pully previously worked for Ogilvy & Mather, Bozell, BBDO and D’Arcy where she was managing director for Hong Kong and Southern China and regional director for the Procter & Gamble business in Asia Pacific.

During her career Chau has received numerous awards for her contributions to the industry, including “Top 10 China Chief Executive” (2004); “Outstanding Advertising Woman” (2005); “The Most Influential People in China Brand Building” (2005, 2006, 2007); “China Adman of the Year” (2007); and “Outstanding contribution in three decades of China Advertising” by China Advertising Association (2008).  In 2008 Chau was appointed vice president of the China Advertising Association and was invited to speak at the Main Forum of the Cannes International Advertising Festival for two consecutive years.

Draftfcb Greater China has offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Qingdao and Taipei.Chau will join a management team composed of Iris Lo, managing director and executive creative director, Hong Kong; Caroline Chyr, managing director, Taiwan; HweeBeng Poh, executive creative director, China; Elizabeth Chavez, VP – planning director, Greater China; Norman Lo, chief financial officer, Greater China; and Caroline Diao, human resources director, Greater China.
