CDs gather to boost creativity in Hong Kong

Simon Handford.jpgOgilvy, the official city host of Portfolio Night 8 in Hong Kong, held a portfolio review on Friday night with 21 top local creative directors aimed at fostering a greater creative atmosphere within the community while nurturing and inspiring the next generation of young creative talent.

 

Portfolio Night is the largest advertising portfolio review in the world. This is the eighth year that creative directors in separate locations review the portfolios of upcoming creative youth simultaneously. Including Hong Kong, there are a total of 39 cities hosting the event this year. Ogilvy is the host city at 23 of them.

In a set-up similar to ‘speed dating’, young creatives eager to exhibit their advertising portfolios had an opportunity to meet and discuss their works with three top creative directors in Hong Kong. Sixty-three registered up and coming creative talents were paired randomly with 21 top creative directors in Hong Kong from different agencies so that they could gain first-hand professional advice and direction on how to improve their portfolios.
