Mun to leave BBDO Proximity Malaysia

Mun.jpgBBDO Proximity Malaysia’s Executive Creative Director Mun Tuck Wai has resigned after only seven months in the job. Mun is one of Malaysia’s most awarded creatives and he replaced Ronald Ng in the top job at BBDO Proximity Malaysia in September last year.

Mun is best known for the highly awarded Jeep “Two Worlds” print campaign. His future plans are not known.

UPDATE (May 5th): BBDO/Proximity Malaysia has released a statement following the breaking of the news that ECD Mun Tuck Wai was leaving the agency. BBDO/Proximity Malaysia’s Group Chief Executive Jennifer Chan said Mun expressed interest in relocating to an overseas agency within the BBDO network and the agency announced Mun’s intention to its clients and staff members in the end of April.

She said Mun expressed his aspirations to further his career overseaslate last year, but his transfer is not expected to take place for sometime. The agency is still looking for prospective options that matchMun’s aspirations as well his prospective agency’s vision and needs.

 

“We are taking Mun’s request seriously when he said he wanted overseasexperience. We believe in advancing our talents’ best interest andwe’re still looking for the best possible options for Mun,” said Chan.
