Ad Stars caught by the CB Asia camera
The Ad Stars 2009 Busan International Advertising Festival proved to be a lot of fun. As a first time visitor to the Festival, Campaign Brief Asia didn’t really know what to expect. The first thing you notice on arrival at the airport is the flash of cameras and film crews as each overseas delegate is welcomed and whisked away, movie star style, in a black BMW 7 Series limo. This same level of hospitality continued throughout the entire four days. The Festival is very well run and funded and is extremely well staffed.
And when it comes to atmosphere, networking, partying all night and meeting new and old friends the Ad Stars Festival is right up there with the best of them.
Get there next year if you can!

A very polished and interesting show! Well done AdStars!
Looking good Alex… you told us you were going there to judge ads!
Oh no! Another show for the rankings!!??? 😉
Adfest and Singapore Spike take note – AdStars know how to hold a show!
Jeez, don’t they allow ugly women into Ad Stars.
11.46 – think about this – it’s free!! Drop Spikes as it’s just a watered down cannes and put in this Ad Stars (even though i’ve never heard of it) and we all save money!
Is anybody here in Singapore actually going to Spikes? I don’t know anybody that is a delegate apart from our MD.
This looks like fun. Alex is very sexy man
Spikes is $1100 to attend. This is too much for our agency this year. The speaker sessions look good however.
Ad Stars…..hahaha….the only people who think of ad people as stars are ad people.
Otherwise, all good, rock on…..and whats with that V sign every time the camera goes off???!!!!!
The V sign – hey, it’s a Korean thing when a camera appears. Big deal. The english have their non smiling red faces, Aussies have their beer held high. Thais – well they can do whatever they want in my book. Who cares. It looks like it was a great time.
