AWARD School graduation in Singapore
AWARD School Singapore held their graduation this week with a function at the Artery Bar. Hosted by AWARD Committee member, Jagdish Ramakrishnan (pictured center), the evening allowed the finest creatives, students and media to view an exhibition of students’ top work. The top AWARD School student in Singapore went to Shivram Gopinath (in picture to right), who will now go forward for international judging against students across Australasia. These winners will be announced in the coming weeks. Second place went to Selwyn Low Wei Siong (pictured left) while Brendan Graham placed third.
The remaining top 11 include; Dunstan Lee Wei Xien, Muhammad Fadly BinRosman, Tan Zi Wei, Chia Mu Mao Kenneth Chia, Lee Ying Zhi , DevangiNakar, Danny Huang Weizhe and Kevin Poh.
The judging panel responsible for selection of the top students and the’work on the wall’ included: Sonal Dabral – Bates 141 Singapore;Ashidiq Ghazali – BBH; Stuart Mills – Ogilvy & Mather; JonathanMcKenzie – BBDO Singapore and Jon Loke – Saatchi & SaatchiSingapore.

Congrats Selwyn! We should go to The Towers to celebrate..
These graduates will be entering an advertising industry that is in the throes of major change. It is going to be vastly different than the business they were prepared for. Doing cute li’l ads for awards is not going to be welcomed any more… unless you can solve real problems too. Good luck…and don’t let agencies screw you over money-wise.
Yeah…in that top photo Juggy is probably thinking ‘hmm i can get these two kids for 1500 each!’
